As you may be aware, from an article in the Derby Telegraph on Friday 3rd October, the building formerly known as the Step-In Childrens Centre, has been sold at auction and could become an Asylum Hostel. The New Zealand Community Association has set up a petition for those who wish to sign it, opposing this scheme. The site is close to the community centre, a nursery, and a school, and we do not feel this is the right place for this facility. Different Devices Theatre Company will be visiting the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, to perform their pantomime Aladdin for one night only on Friday 6th December. We will be holding another Race Night at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby on Saturday 30th June at 7.00pm til about 12.00pm Come along and enjoy the fun of the races on the big screen. Cheer on your favourite horse, have a little flutter (50p bet). Refreshments and bar available on the night. All proceeds to go towards the Kitchen Installation.
