Just had to write a little about the Swing Night. What a fantastic event it was! We raised almost £500 for the mini bus appeal but more importantly everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The band were fantastic, with Lizzie Farrell providing the vocals and Sophie Ward and Michelle Farrell on Trumpet, Marie Helen and Jane Ingram on Saxes, Sarah Hancock on Bass, Laura O'Donnal on Drums, and guest musicians Mark Briggs on Piano and Charlotte on Trombone and Wendy on Drums. The New Zealand Annual Gala Day is fast approaching. Saturday 19th July 2014 on the Cheviot St Recreation Ground between 11am and 4pm. Many stalls including - Teddy Tombola, Charity stalls, Maypole, Bouncy Castle and Bungee Run, Refreshments, face painting, games, sports races in the afternoon, a dog show, Coe-Coe the clown to entertain the children, Grand Prize Draw, and the New Zealand Garden Competition results will be announced. So come along for a fun filled day for all the family!

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our Bingo night and made it such a success. Our next event is Shells Belles swing night. This is a 10piece all female group, playing big band sounds. Having attended their first gig recently I can fully recommend them. They are fantastic and I have no reservations about saying that this event will be one of the best (if not THE best) event we have ever put on at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre. The New Zealand Community Association would like to take this opportunity to thank Morrisons, Ashbourne Rd, for holding the Easter Chocolate Hamper Raffle for our Mini bus appeal. Over £300 was raised. We would also like to thank the volunteers who helped sell the tickets and the customers who bought them.

Join us for our sensational Bingo Night. £2.50 for a book of five games - £1.00 for a flyer. Half books available for £1.25. We are guaranteeing a full house price of at least £5.00 regardless of how many peole attend, but the more that come the better the prize money. There will be hot refreshments on sale and a bar. Raffle So come along and join the fun! Saturday 31st May 2914, doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30 start. Eyes Down, here we go! All proceeds to the mini bus fund.
