Friends of Friar Gate Bridge

There will be a meeting of the Friends of Friar Gate Bridge on Friday 20th February 2015 at 7.30pm at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby. All who are interested in the future of this iconic bridge should attend.

The Friends of Friargate Bridge will be holding a meeting at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane Derby DE1 1GL on Friday 17th January at 7.00pm. After meeting with a council official we have news on the future of the bridge. If you are interested in this iconic structure and its future come along and find out more, and how you can help.

The New Zealand Community Association has set themselves a new challenge. We know from talking to local residents that many of you have a great fondness for the Friargate Bridge and are concerned about the state it is in. We have resolved to do something about this and would like to form a committee to approach the council and see what their plans are, and then work out how we can get this bridge back to its former glory.
