What a fantastic event this was, so many people. The children all looked fantastic in their costumes, and everyone had fun! A big thank you to all that attended, and also to the volunteers who helped out, namely Joanne, Melissa, Viv, Sophie, Jay and Lesley. We raised £229.55 towards our Kitchen Installation Fund.

Race Night - 13th October 2012

We had a successful night last night at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Race Night. We managed to raise £234.85 for the Kitchen Installation, and everyone had a great time shouting for their favourite horse and sometimes winning a few pennies. The Auctioning of the horses in the last race got quite competitive, and we wrapped it all up at the end by watching a tug of war between an Orang-utan and a Sumo wrestler (The Orang-utan won!). Thank you to everyone who came along to support us and make the night a great success.

Lets Go to the Movies night

What an evening we had. Music from the likes of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly; Movies such as Oklahoma, the Sound of Music, Meet me in St Louis, Titanic, and Grease. The performers were great re-creating the magic of days gone by, encouraging the audience to join in, particularly little Alfie Pickering, who got up and joined in the singing and dancing to the soundtracks from Grease, and we will not forget VIv Hodgson re-creating the famous scene from Titanic, arms outstretched (just like Kate Winslet). A wonderful night and £121.00 raised for the kitchen fund.
