The great British spirit was shown yesterday, when members of the New Zealand Community Association and friends took part in the Sponsored Walk to raise money for the Kitchen Installation Fund. The weather was quite typical for a Bank Holiday Monday - rain and more rain, but that did not put off the participants.


The committee got down to the Park for 10.00am and set up their table, taking shelter under numerous umbrellas and the trees. We set off at a grand pace at 11.00am, doing the circuit - from the Orangery around the duck pond and the back of the tennis courts and back through the Orangery, 10 times!

We got drenched, but enjoyed ourselves in spite of it all. Well done everyone, you truly are great!!
