Our second annual Gala Day is just around the corner.

Last years event was a great success and hundreds of local people joined us on Cheviot Street Rec to enjoy a fun day.

We will be having a parade again, starting at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, travelling down Stanley Street, Morley Street, onto Hawke Street, and into the Park on Cheviot Street.

This year the parade will be bigger than last, Calidoscopia Brazilian Drummers will lead the parade, John Morgan has loaned his lorry for the New Zealand Float, we have chosen the Royal Wedding as our theme, and we have a very special guest joining us! We will be joined by the Dancebeats Cheerleading Squad, St Barnabas Brownies and Rainbows, Loopy about Hoops girls and possibly Peppa Pig!

The parade will start at 10.45am and get down to the park for about 11.05am.

Several of the groups at the centre will be doing displays during the day, including Dancebeats, Foot Fusion, Loopy about Hoops and Calidoscopia

There will be lots of charity stalls, side shows etc, a table top sale (if you are interested in having a pitch - cost £5.00 - telephone Mandy on 749272).

Derby Homes have arranged for a Climbing Wall to be brought down, there will also be a bouncy castle.

Last year people said they would have liked hot food for refreshments, so this year we will be providing Bacon and Egg cobs, Burgers, Hot Dogs as well as tea, coffee, soft drinks etc.

We will be playing a game of Bingo during the afternoon. There will also be a raffle.

The day will end with a Dog Show.

We hope the day will be as big a success as last year and that everyone will enjoy a fantastic day.
