Come along to our next fundraising event - a Quiz Night at the Lonny Wilsoncroft Community Centre, Stepping Lane, Derby. Saturday 29th June, doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30 start. As well as the usual question rounds, there will also be a chance to take part in some family favourites from the tv - Play Your Cards Right, Take Your Pick and Family Fortunes. Top prize of £30.00 for the winning team and lots of spot prizes throughout the night. Bar and refreshments available So come and join us for a fun evening and help us raise money for our Mini bus appeal.

The New Zealand Community Association has got together with Mackworth Neighbourhood board to bring you the Mackworth Ward Gardening Competition. This competition is open to all residents of the Mackworth Ward. The categories are Best Garden front or back, best hanging basket/container, best allotment, best commercial property, Best Street/Road/Avenue, etc, Best Scarecrow. The judging will take place during July and the winners announced at the New Zealand Gala Day on August 3rd. Come along and join us for our latest fundraising event - the Race Night. Saturday 25th May 2013, doors open 7.00pm. Fun for all the family. Refreshments and bar will be available on the evening. Come along and watch your favourite horse romp home on the big screen. Enjoy the friendly atmosphere, and help raise money for our latest campaign to obtain a mini bus for use in our local community.

The Kitchen installation is well on its way. Yesterday the stud wall was taken out and a new wall put up, increasing the size of the kitchen. This week the hatch will be formed into the main hall, the electrics completed and the plumbing. Next week the fitting of equipment and appliances will take place. It's looking great!
