The New Zealand Community Association has got together with Mackworth Neighbourhood board to bring you the Mackworth Ward Gardening Competition.  This competition is open to all residents of the Mackworth Ward.  The categories are Best Garden front or back, best hanging basket/container, best allotment, best commercial property, Best Street/Road/Avenue, etc, Best Scarecrow.  The judging will take place during July and the winners announced at the New Zealand Gala Day on August 3rd.  The scarecrow competition which is for children will be judged on August 3rd, so bring down your scarecrows to the park on the day.  The best garden, best allotment and best commercial property all have a prize of £50.00 worth of B&Q vouchers, the winners of the other categories will receive a trophy for their efforts.

This competition has been put together to help us to make our neighbourhood a brighter, cleaner and more lovely place to live and also promote community spirit.  So come along and join in the fun.  Lets make a difference to our neighbourhood.

Race Night - 25th May 2013 - 7.00pmby mandy on 29th April 2013

Come along and join us for our latest fundraising event - the Race Night.  Saturday 25th May 2013, doors open 7.00pm.  Fun for all the family.  Refreshments and bar will be available on the evening.

Come along and watch your favourite horse romp home on the big screen.  Enjoy the friendly atmosphere, and help raise money for our latest campaign to obtain a mini bus for use in our local community.

Kitchen Installationby mandy on 19th February 2013

The Kitchen installation is well on its way.

Yesterday the stud wall was taken out and a new wall put up, increasing the size of the kitchen.

This week the hatch will be formed into the main hall, the electrics completed and the plumbing.

Next week the fitting of equipment and appliances will take place.

It's looking great!
